Right now, my media PC is running Vista Media Center on a Mac Mini. I actually store all my data on a server in a closet, so the fact that the Mini is small, quiet and cool is great! Also, I use TiVo for recording HD cable, so I only use WMC for playback.
If there was a Mini that could play back Blu-Ray, I would get it right away! I don't understand why Apple keeps not putting their laptop tech into the ever-popular Mini on a regular basis. Also, I don't think X3100 would be a useful upgrade, as that chipset was considered end-of-life by Intel early this year (!). Either the HD4500, or the NVIDIA 9400M would be the right choice (and needed to actually play back Blu-Ray -- the X3100 can't do it).
Thanks Chris, they problem with VoIP phones is the sound quality can be hit and miss, esp if something else is happening such as an online backup, streaming music or BitTorrent. I'm after a home phone that "just works", not just for me but for the other members of the house.
